We Can Help!
Brant Skills Centre, a registered charity, is committed to helping adults and older youth improve their literacy and essential skills so that they may increase their independence, go on to further education and training, or obtain and maintain employment. We offer one-to-one tutoring and small group tutoring in addition to computer workshops and other helpful skills training.
Reading
We use this skill to read and understand a variety material such as emails, textbooks, newspaper articles, books, magazines.
Writing
We use this skill to communicate with words, numbers, and symbols on paper or on a digital device.
Numeracy
We use this skill to understand and use numbers and thinking in quantitative terms.
Computer Use/Digital
We use this skill when we use computers, digital applications and software programs, and other forms of technology such as tablets, iPads and Point-of-Sale systems.
Document Use
We use this skill to find, understand or enter information into documents such as tables or forms.
Communication
We use this skill to receive, understand, consider, and share information and ideas through speaking, listening, and interacting with others.
Problem Solving
We use this skill to identify, analyze, propose solutions, and make decisions
Collaboration
We use this skill to interact with others to carry out tasks at work, home, and in school.
Adaptability and Creativity and Innovation
We use these skills to achieve or adjust goals and behaviours, and to discover better ways of doing things.
